The Route
You start and finish on Battery Avenue, across from the 3rd base entrance to Truist Park, and the route winds through the neighborhood beside the ballpark.
There are three water stations along the way. Battery Avenue closes to traffic for the event, so your start line, your finish line and the food trucks waiting for you are all on the same stretch.
Certified and Officially Timed
The course is certified by USA Track & Field, and that certification is what makes your time count. It allows accurate times, official rankings, validity of performances, and qualification for larger runs with performance thresholds.
Certification is granted per course, so it is confirmed again any time the route changes.
Your Bib and Swag Bag
Pick up your bib at the Check-In Desk on Battery Avenue, across from the Coca-Cola Roxy.
After the race, bring your bib to the Memorabilia and Merchandise tent in the Plaza and collect your runner appreciation bag, with the T-shirt size you chose when you registered. Your bib is how our team knows the bag is yours, so keep it on.
Get There Early
The 5K is the first event of the morning, and once it starts you cannot join it.
Give yourself time to park, check in and reach the start line. We are expecting a big crowd. Check-in opens well before the first event, and exact times are confirmed closer to the day and sent to you in your registration email.
Make a Day of It
Your morning is only getting started. The walk inside Truist Park steps off late morning, and the kids dash, mindful yoga, the children’s park, two stages of live music, the food trucks and the silent auction carry the day through the afternoon.
The 5K and the walk are separate registrations, so if you want to do both, sign up for both.
Questions We Are Asked
Where does the 5K actually go?
The 5K starts and finishes on Battery Avenue, across from the 3rd base entrance to Truist Park, and the route winds through the neighborhood next to the ballpark. There will be three water stations along the route. The course is certified by USA Track & Field, which allows for accurate times, official rankings, and qualification for larger runs with performance thresholds.
What time should I get there?
Early. Check-in is on Battery Avenue, across from the Coca-Cola Roxy, and it opens well before the first event. If you are running the 5K, get in line as soon as check-in opens, because the 5K goes off first and you cannot join once it has started. The walk follows in two waves late morning, and if you miss your wave you may not be able to get into the walk inside Truist Park. We are expecting large crowds, so allow time to park, check in, and get to the start. Exact times are confirmed closer to the day and go out in your registration email.
Can I register on the day of the event?
Yes, there will be on-site registration at the Check-In Desk. We highly encourage you to register ahead of time, as it is faster on the day and guarantees your spot in the timed events, which have limited capacity.
Where do I park, and what does it cost?
Park in the Red, Green, Yellow or Purple decks at The Battery Atlanta. The Orange and Silver/Delta decks are not available for this event. The first two hours are free. After that The Battery charges by the hour, and rates are set closer to the event, so check batteryatl.com before you come. There is limited metered street parking, and payment is enforced. Each deck has a few EV chargers with contactless payment.
