Teams

Bring the people you would have brought anyway.

A team is just a name that everyone’s registration and fundraising adds up under. It works for the 5K and for the walk, so a team does not all have to pick the same one. There is no minimum size, and no minimum to raise.

  • Runners setting off under the AKF 5K Run banner at the start line

    On your own

You do not need a team. Register for the 5K or the walk on your own, and you can still raise money for it.

    • One registration covers you for the event you picked
    • You get your own fundraising page to share
    • You can join a team later without registering again

  • Three friends holding their race bibs outside the Truist Park ticket gate

    Friends and family

Walk with the people you would have brought anyway. Anyone can start a team, and there is no minimum size and no minimum to raise.

    • Whoever starts the team picks the name and everyone joins it as they register
    • Everything your team raises adds up under that one name
    • Team members can do the 5K and the walk. You do not all have to pick the same one
    Start or join a team
  • Aga Khan Foundation team members outside the Truist Park entrance

    Company teams

A team under your company name, for employees and whoever they bring. It works exactly like a family team, with your organization on the leaderboard.

    • Your company name on the team and on everything it raises
    • Employees register themselves and join, so nobody has to collect names
    • Talk to us first if your company matches donations, so the match is set up before the day

Starting a team and not sure where to begin?

Email akfopr@gmail.com and someone from the Atlanta organizing committee will walk you through it. If your company matches employee donations, tell us before the day so the match is set up in advance rather than chased afterwards.

You do not need a team to raise money. Every registration comes with its own page, and you can give directly without attending at all.
